What Do I Need To Know When I Am Opening A New Account?

When completing the Fees section, in addition to entering the initial advice fee and ongoing advice fees, you will be asked to enter:  

  • enter an “Anniversary date” 
  • enter the estimated balance for the portfolio that you are looking to charge an advice fee  
  • select the types of services that will be provided to the client over the next 12-month period.  

In accordance with regulatory requirements, this additional information will allow the client to see an estimated monthly and annual adviser fees to be deducted from the account, what services the fees relate to, and when their consent will expire.
