Different types of inspecie transfers and forms required

Managed fund transfers
Managed Funds held via a Custodian

This occurs when the Platform has invested on behalf of the underlying client. The managed fund is not held in the client’s name.

Depending on the Platform, they will either require the client to complete a closure form and the Platform will generate the Standard Transfer form(s) or the adviser will complete these forms themselves. Best to check with the Platform where the assets are held prior to undertaking the transfer to avoid any delays.

Forms required

  • Managed Fund Transfer form (available from the Literature Library)
  • The Custodian will sign the Transfer form as the seller/ buyer instead of the underlying client
  • Cost base template (available from the Literature Library)

Original forms are to be posted to Mason Stevens and uploaded via the Platform.
